Consumer electronics is very competitive market condensed with various multinationals having international presence. A quick investigation of current trends revealed that Panasonic’s offerings to customers are very limited and that its products are very inexpensive. In order to grow in such a competitive market, Panasonic would need to collaborate with its competitors. Collaboration doesn’t means colluding markets but planning one’s strategic moves meticulously keeping in mind competitors. Panasonic also completed acquisition of Sanyo but has failed to reap synergies as a result of this Panasonic has made consecutive losses over past few years. This report recommends acquisition integration approach to Panasonic and concludes with discussing probable risks of adopting the strategy.
